I designed a set of marketing and product emails in Figma, focusing on flexibility, scalability, and consistency across devices. The result was a modular email design system covering multiple use cases, flows, and user journeys.
I started by creating emails in multiple formats to cover all user preferences. Each email was designed for desktop and mobile, and I built both light and dark mode versions to ensure consistency across devices and user settings. To streamline production, I set up a component library in Figma, so recurring elements like headers, buttons, and footers could be easily reused and adapted.
To maintain a strong brand identity, I worked with an illustrator who created custom header illustrations. I then repurposed and adapted visuals from CIO's website to further optimize the workflow and keep all assets consistent with their established style.

The designs included different flows for different purposes, such as onboarding, abandoned cart recovery, cancellation emails, and confirmation emails. Each flow was tailored with timed follow-ups. Some sent immediately, others after 24h, 72h, or stretched across journeys from 1 day up to 30 days. This ensured the emails worked not only visually but strategically, supporting CIO's entire lifecycle marketing.

Results

The outcome was a comprehensive email design system: fully responsive, brand-consistent, and flexible enough to handle multiple flows and timeframes. With reusable components and visual consistency, CIO gained a scalable solution for running their campaigns faster and more effectively.
