Volition Fitness — Is a Personal Trainer Worth It?

The Client

Volition Fitness is a private strength and personal training studio in Boise. They needed a blog post that would rank for "is a personal trainer worth it" in their local market and bring in people who were on the fence about hiring a coach.

The Challenge

Most fitness content online is either generic listicles or thinly veiled sales pitches. Volition wanted something honest: a post that helps the reader decide whether training is right for them, not one that pressures them into booking.

What I Built

A fully sourced, long-form SEO blog post that answers the question head-on with real data. The post includes:
A comparison table breaking down one-on-one training vs. solo gym vs. group classes across cost, accountability, customization, and best-fit scenarios
An interactive monthly cost calculator so readers can estimate what training would actually cost them per month based on sessions and rate
Sourced statistics from the CDC on how few adults meet strength training guidelines, giving the post authority and a reason to exist
A short quiz that reinforces the key takeaways and keeps readers engaged
An audio summary so visitors can listen instead of read
A clear CTA pointing to Volition's site, written in their voice
Every claim links back to a federal source (CDC, NIH). The tone is direct and helpful, not salesy. The post is designed to rank for local "personal trainer worth it" queries and convert readers who are genuinely weighing the decision.
