Prank AI

Prank AI is a mobile app that lets users generate AI-powered prank photos and videos. I built the full product across mobile (React Native/Expo) and web (Next.js), handling everything from the AI pipeline integration to the frontend experience.

The core challenge was making AI image and video generation feel instant and fun on mobile. We needed sub-second UI feedback even when generation takes longer on the backend, so I built an optimistic UI layer with real-time progress states that keeps users engaged while models run.

On the AI side, I integrated multiple generation models and built a prompt engineering layer that translates simple user inputs into detailed model prompts. The result is a one-tap experience where users pick a template, upload a photo, and get a shareable prank in seconds.

The app ships on iOS and Android via Expo, with a Next.js marketing site and web app. I handled the full stack: auth, payments, media storage, CDN delivery, and the AI orchestration layer.
