Overview:

Fluent is designed for students who are interested in effective language learning for their career development. The language apps available in the market are for basic learning and do not validate the user of how much level he has reached and what type of learning is best for him.
In the Fluent app, I have tried to cater to individual needs through step-by-step language and personality tests for a learner.

UX Process:

The user-centered design process is followed to solve problems and focus users at the center of analysis, their needs, and habits, to make a good experience and be satisfied with any product or service to achieve their goal.

Primary Research:

For less confusion while taking interviews, I divided the questions into three major sections Before, After, and Ongoing learnings as follows. I conducted a lesson for the students and closely monitored their responses. I engaged them with several questions regarding the wall art, which was inscribed in the native language on the school walls.

Secondary Research:

SWOT Analysis: Taking some common parameters among language learning apps I conducted a comparison using the SWOT method as shown below:

User Personas:

Empathy mapping:

User Flow:

Task Flow:

Ideation:

Paper prototype and ideation in the presence of students is done during 3rd visit to the school.

Hi-fidelity Screens:

Learnings through Project:

Language is intertwined with culture. While conducting contextual and ethnographic study I observed that this aspect is frequently absent in traditional educational curricula, leaving students with limited linguistic knowledge.
This project has encouraged me to keenly observe minute user details and behavior to gain a deeper understanding of the issues at hand
