The Start

Strictly Unconventional (“Strictly”) is a multimedia brand founded by Aria Palma and Roji Lopez, providing a digital experience for pop culture conventions exposure. Beginning as a YouTube series in 2017, the original videos followed the Strictly team across various West Coast conventions where they provided guided tours, celebrity and attendee interviews, and geeky shenanigans.

The Experience

We have attended and were invited as press to conventions across multiple states, where we had the opportunity to explore the geeky communities in each city and still bond together over shared interests. Thanks to this opportunity, we have talked and interviewed with many attendees, artists, and celebrity guests (including Michael Rooker, James Hong, Chris Sullivan, Brian Krause, and more).
