Project goal In the face of the evolving challenges posed by the early stages of the Covid pandemic, a pivotal task emerged: restructuring the operations of the local karate centre. The challenge at hand necessitated a comprehensive solution, leading us to propose the development of a WordPress website. This solution addressed multiple facets, including enabling user registration, facilitating class credit purchases, and providing access to online class schedules.
Solution Our proposed solution involved the creation of a dynamic WordPress website that seamlessly integrated essential functionalities. Users were now able to easily register, purchase class credits, and access timetables for online classes. To streamline the purchase of class credits, we implemented a Stripe integration, ensuring a secure and efficient payment process.As Covid restrictions in Australia gradually lifted, allowing the karate centre to resume in-person operations, we further expanded the website's capabilities to address the additional challenge of compliance with government regulations. This extension incorporated features for effectively tracking members within the centre, encompassing the monitoring of class attendance, entry times, and recording body temperatures upon arrival. The comprehensive solution not only sustained the karate centre's operations during challenging times but also ensured alignment with evolving regulatory requirements.
