‘Alt text' which means alternative text. Alt text is an important part of our articles that some of us either ignore or are unaware of. Alt text is a short written description of ab image, which helps :

search engines ( search engines can't see images. They rely on alt text to understand them properly. It helps your content rank better on search engines.)

Backup for broken images ( if an image fails to load, the alt text is displayed in its place. Users understand the image.)

Visually impaired users ( screen readers read alt text aloud for them making your content more accurate)

Upload or insert an image.

2. Click on the image.

3. You will see a small "add a description" box or "alt text" option above /below the image.

4. Type a description text about the image.

5. Press enter or save to save it.
