Overview

ReportLab is a data unification platform built for multi-location businesses. The product is genuinely complex, multiple pricing tiers, deep integrations, a lot of surface area to communicate. The job was to build a site that matched that sophistication without making it feel heavy. Clean, credible, and built to convert.

The Challenge

When a product has real depth, the temptation is to explain everything. The design challenge here was the opposite: create a visual language sophisticated enough that the right buyer immediately feels they're in the right place, without the site becoming a wall of information. The design needed to do the qualifying work.

What we built

A full Framer marketing site from scratch, v1. Every layout decision was made with the product's complexity in mind, structured enough to feel enterprise-ready, considered enough to not overwhelm. Pricing, integrations, the full works, all in a single coherent system that holds together across every page.
On the technical side, the build involved constructing complex components from scratch and ensuring every one of them held up at mobile. For a product with this much information density, responsive fidelity isn't a nice-to-have. It's where most SaaS sites fall apart. Every section was built to work at every screen size without compromise.
The design language was deliberately clean but never generic. To give ReportLab its own visual identity within that restraint, we introduced frosted glass elements throughout, a detail that added depth and a sense of sophistication without pulling attention away from the product itself. It's the kind of decision that reads as intentional to the right buyer without announcing itself.

Outcome

The ReportLab website project was a success. Colby responded warmly to Formeta's creative direction throughout the engagement - specifically praising the pricing section experiments, the graininess and gradient elements, and the overall design freedom that shaped the final product . The site launched on December 19th, 2025, unlocking partnership opportunities with Boulevard and Mindbody, both of which required a live website before adding ReportLab to their partner networks . The collaboration extended well beyond the initial build Colby and Luke continued working with Formeta on additional pages, graphics, and product updates into 2026, reflecting a strong and ongoing client relationship .
