Brandistaa is a branding and creative agency that helps businesses build their brand identity, visual presence, and market positioning.
The website serves as the agency's primary digital storefront — presenting their services, portfolio, and brand personality to attract business clients.
Since the agency's own website is a direct demonstration of what they sell to clients, the design had to walk a fine line: it needed to feel creative, bold, and distinctive, while still reading as professional and trustworthy to businesses considering a branding partner.
Goals
Build the entire site from scratch using ReactJS and Tailwind CSS.
Design a visually strong, portfolio-first layout that lets the agency's own work speak for their capability.
Communicate brand personality — tone, creativity, confidence — through layout, motion, and typography, not just copy.
Ensure full responsiveness so the site's visual impact holds up identically on mobile as it does on desktop.
Keep interactions smooth and polished, since a creative agency's site is judged on feel as much as on content.
Challenges
The core tension was that this wasn't a generic corporate site — it had to double as a portfolio piece and a sales pitch at once. Every layout decision (spacing, type scale, imagery treatment) needed to signal design competence, not just present information, which meant resisting default/templated component patterns in favor of more intentional, custom-built sections.
Smooth interactions and motion needed to feel deliberate and premium rather than decorative — subtle hover states, transitions, and scroll-based reveals had to be tuned by hand so they enhanced the agency's brand voice instead of feeling like generic animation library defaults.
Balancing "creative and expressive" with "professional and legible" was a recurring design challenge throughout — bold visual choices (asymmetry, large typography, portfolio imagery) had to be reined in with disciplined Tailwind utility structure so the site never tipped into looking chaotic or hard to navigate for a business client evaluating a potential agency partner.
Making the portfolio/case-study sections genuinely showcase the agency's design range meant building flexible, reusable component structures in React that could handle varied content (different project types, image ratios, layouts) without every section looking like a copy-pasted template.
Full responsiveness was especially demanding here because a lot of the visual impact came from large-format imagery and expressive typography — content that's easy to make look striking on desktop but easily breaks or feels cramped on smaller screens. Getting the same creative impact at mobile widths took careful, breakpoint-by-breakpoint refinement rather than a single responsive pass.
Outcomes
The result is a fast, visually distinctive agency website that functions as a live portfolio piece — reinforcing Brandistaa's credibility by demonstrating, through its own design, the quality of work clients can expect.
