Sound Design, Catalogue & QA for a Travel App's Explore Mode

For the Explore Mode of a travel app that guides users through destinations with narrated audio tours, I designed the sound: a library of regional music that gives each country its own sonic identity and plays under the voiceover.

I generated a wide range of regional ambient tracks with Suno, organized by country. Because I know the tours well, I wrote the prompts around each destination's instruments, rhythms and mood, and shaped the tracks to support the narration without competing with it. Generating the music was only the first step. Every track was then edited for length, flow and mix so it works in the app.

I also run the music side of the product beyond production:

Catalogue management: I upload and maintain the music catalogue in the app's backend.

Tag curation: I built and maintain the tagging system that maps each track to its country, which keeps the regional logic working as intended.

Regional QA: I test each region in the backend to confirm the right music appears in the Explore Mode playlist.

The project draws on my background in broadcast promo and post-production, where music, voiceover and pacing have to work as one. Here I applied that to a live product, from creative concept through implementation and testing.
