Branding and App Designs for Sherpa

I designed this app starting with the logo (via the app icon), then established a clear bold brand aesthetic as I continued on with designing the rest of the app.
The client already had a functional v0 of the app, so my task was to add design to the mix to improve the product and get it ready for launch. Here's a quick example showing a before and after of the subscription view:
Which version would you rather use?
I systematically established a cohesive design language for the app as I followed the client's prioritized list of which sections to design first. One interesting aspect of this project was the client's requirement for custom color schemes. So, I had to show patterns of how each view could be themed for any color option (as well as dark mode).

I sourced some playful black and white illustrations from blush.design to infuse the product with some personality. The contrast of the illustrations with the bright colors in the app worked perfectly.
The main view of the app is a list of pending items that the user wants to do. Each item is assigned to a category and each category has its own color and icon. You can also add new to-dos from the main view.
The extensive first-run onboarding experience helped the user set up the parameters so that Sherpa could know how best to help them achieve their goals.
