Challenge
A Ukrainian distributor of medical instruments and supplies keeps its whole catalogue, prices and stock in 1C. A product list maintained on the website by hand would quickly drift into outdated prices and items shown as available when they are not. The company needed an online store that updates itself from 1C, accepts card payments, highlights special offers and explains delivery and warranty terms, plus a blog for expert content.
Solution
The site implements the standard 1C exchange protocol: 1C uploads CommerceML packages with categories, products, prices and stock, and the store applies them in background jobs. I wrote the CommerceML parsing as a separate Composer library so it can be reused on other projects. On top sit a localised catalogue with categories, filters and offers, a basket with LiqPay checkout and signed payment callbacks, a blog, FAQ, delivery and warranty pages, and a Voyager admin. Emails embed images automatically, and layouts adapt to mobile devices.
