Nairobi Jiu-Jitsu Academy (NJJA) | Website Redesign & Framer Build
Nicole from Nairobi Jiu-Jitsu Academy reached out to me looking for help redesigning their website. The existing site was functional but didn’t really reflect the energy, professionalism, or community feel of the academy. It felt outdated and didn’t clearly guide visitors toward taking action.
The main goal was simple: create a clean, modern website that made it easy for parents, teens, and adults to understand the programs and book a free trial.
The Challenge
When we started, the website had a few common issues:
The design felt old and inconsistent
Programs were not clearly organized
Navigation and user flow felt confusing
There wasn’t a strong call-to-action for new members
Overall, it didn’t match the quality of the academy itself
Nicole and her partners wanted something that felt more professional while still keeping the community-driven spirit of the gym.
My Approach
After our initial conversations, I mapped out the full structure and simplified the experience around clarity and decision-making.
The focus was on:
Clear program structure (Kids, Teens, Adults, MMA, Self Defense)
Strong first impression with a cleaner visual direction
Building trust through instructor and academy sections
Clear calls-to-action focused on free trials
Making everything easy to navigate on mobile first
Once the structure was approved, I handled the full design and Framer development.
What I Delivered
Complete website redesign
UX restructuring and page planning
Custom design tailored to NJJA’s brand
Full Framer build
Responsive layouts across devices
Lead capture forms
Booking system integration (external booking flow)

Result
The final website feels much more aligned with the academy’s identity, clean, strong, and professional, while giving visitors a clear path to understand programs and reach out.
Most importantly, the site now supports growth instead of just existing online.
