OBJECTIVES
The main objective for this project was to Establish their social media presence. Breaking it down the objectives were:
- Create a social media strategy
- Creating social media accounts
CONTEXT
The Designs Plug focuses on graphic designing and at the point when I approached them, their sales were dropping. They needed a change in their marketing strategies and we both agreed that establishing a social media presence would aid them grow and increase their revenues both in the short term and in the long term.
PROBLEM
As a company they were failing to increase sales and acquire new customers despite their continuous efforts on traditional efforts.
ROUTE TO SOLUTION
To get to the solution i had to
- Gathered their marketing strategies
- Established sales trend
- Established a correlation between sales and each marketing effort
- Established a correlation between sales and marketing strategies
- Evaluated their marketing strategies and efforts
We then agreed that despite them doing well on traditional marketing campaigns they had no social media and digital marketing strategies and campaigns. With their limited budget and in this digital era having a social media strategy would make them competitive in the market.
LESSONS LEARNT
- Paying close attention to detail and data is always best
- What worked for another client doesnt mean it works for the other
- SMEs are interesting to work withOBJECTIVES
WHAT I WOULD DO DIFFERENTLY
- My analysis methods lacked prediction and forecasting models
- I'd gather as much data as possible
