OVERVIEW
NTA is a mobile news app designed to make staying informed feel fun, fast, and fluid similar to how Snapchat revolutionized social media.
WHAT IT IS ABOUT
It reimagines traditional news consumption for Gen Z and mobile-first users by using swipe-based storytelling, bold visuals, and short-form content that feels more like social media than a news app.
PROBLEM
These days, news apps can feel slow, cluttered, and honestly, kind of boring, especially for younger folks who are used to quick, visual stuff on apps like Snapchat. People want to stay in the loop, but often they just don’t stick around because the news feels overwhelming or hard to get through.
GOAL
To design a news experience that’s visually engaging, digestible at a glance, and encourages users to explore content in a casual, intuitive way.
HOW I SOLVED THE PROBLEM
To make news feel fresh and easy, I designed with audio-to-text that lets users listen to articles instead of just reading, perfect for busy moments or when they want to rest their eyes. I also included short, visual news videos to bring stories to life quickly and clearly.
On top of that, users can comment on both articles and videos, creating a space where they can share thoughts and connect over the news.
By focusing on these interactive, accessible features, NTA turns staying informed into a simple, engaging experience that fits naturally into how people consume content today.
