The client is a visionary startup in the psychedelics community, aimed to create a safe and engaging digital space for users to connect and share their journeys with magic mushrooms. They sought a user-friendly and visually appealing app to foster a sense of community and promote education on psychedelics.

The primary challenge was to design an app that could seamlessly integrate a variety of post types and functionalities without compromising on user experience. The app needed to support diverse content types, from product reviews and educational resources to personal experiences and creative expressions, all while maintaining an intuitive and cohesive interface.

To tackle these challenges, I crafted intuitive and user-friendly solutions that truly elevated the overall user experience:

I designed the navigation to be straightforward and user-centric. The central forum hub became the heartbeat of the app, offering advanced sorting, search, and filtering options. We even integrated an AI-powered mushroom identifier to add a touch of magic to the functionality.

The Discovery section became a gateway to a world of information, with seamless entry points to blogs, product lists, research articles, clinicians, journeys, and shamans. This made exploration not just easy, but enjoyable.

Creating a post was transformed into a breeze with an expandable screen for selecting different post types. Notifications ensured users stayed in the loop with all the latest interactions, and the profile section was designed for effortless management of followers, personal posts, settings, and profile edits.

Every post type was thoughtfully integrated to cater to specific user needs. Each post featured badges indicating its type on both the cards and detail views, creating a consistent and seamless structure that simplified the user experience. Moreover, each post type acted as a thread, encouraging deeper engagement and meaningful discussions.

These smart and efficient solutions ensured a cohesive and delightful user experience. The consistent structure and use of badges made navigating and interacting with the app a pleasure, further enhancing the overall user experience.

The Tryp project showcases my ability to lead complex UI/UX design initiatives, from concept to execution. By addressing the unique challenges and creating a rich, user-centric experience, Tryp not only meets the client's vision but also provides a valuable platform for the psychedelics community. The successful collaboration with the development team ensured that the design was effectively brought to life, resulting in a cohesive and functional app.
