How it born

Driven by the success of the "Obvious Wallet," we recognized an untapped space where we could introduce blockchain technology to individuals with zero knowledge of the blockchain. Our goal was clear: extend the benefits of blockchain to a broader audience without overwhelming them with technical stuff. This led to the inception of "Obvious Money"
Obvious Money was conceptualized to empower individuals using the US dollar as their primary transaction currency globally, freeing them from the traditional banking hurdles. By leveraging blockchain technology, the app ensures seamless fund transactions in US dollars, with the added convenience of withdrawing in the user's local currency.

Development journey

Our primary focus was on individuals such as travelers, freelancers, and students who regularly makes global transactions, with the US dollar serving as their primary currency
To turn the idea into reality, we commenced the development process by engaging with diverse user groups, including students aged 18-22, freelancers aged 22-35, and employees aged 35 and above. I know, that's a lot of people to talk to and interview, but trust me, it paid off!
As anticipated, each group provided unique insights. College students expressed interest in incentives, freelancers showed immense excitement to explore the platform, while employees were keen on certifications.
Initial wireframes

As we crafted the user flow, we also doodled with wireframes to bring our ideas to life visually. Team huddles made sure these drawings matched the smooth experience we had in mind. We kept tweaking them to make sure they were simple and easy to use.
At the same time, we had folks checking out these drawings and sharing their thoughts. Their insights were like compass points, helping us adjust in real-time. This back-and-forth resulted in an app design that's not just practical but also something our users can vibe with.

The "Design stage"

Following the user flow and wireframe stages, we crafted designs incorporating feedback from our users. We aimed to make the app so straightforward that anyone, regardless of age, could use it hassle-free.
In pursuit of simplicity, we intentionally toned down the blockchain/crypto elements in the app. Most users might not be familiar with the technicalities of cryptocurrency, so we wanted to ensure that "Obvious Money" feels intuitive, approachable, and, most importantly, easy to navigate.

Ahh finallyy..

Currently in closed beta, "Obvious Money" is undergoing meticulous testing and refinement with a select group of users. This phase allows us to fine-tune the app based on real-world usage and gather valuable insights for further improvements.
