Objective

Cryptocurrency management often feels like navigating a maze in the dark. We set out to revolutionize this space, aiming for a mobile app that's as breezy as a Sunday morning playlist and as secure as Fort Knox

Our approach

We kickstarted this project with a deep dive into the world of cryptocurrencies, honing in on the mobile app experience. Conversations with crypto enthusiasts and brainstorming sessions fueled by memes and good tunes shaped our understanding. (honeslty at this point i had no clue about crypto wallets and products)
It took me some good amount of time to research, Learn and understand the whole ecosystem. pheww. Back to topic - We envisioned an app that would embody trust and security while offering a seamless mobile experience.

Mobile App Design & Development

Our design journey began with wireframes tailored specifically for mobile screens, keeping in mind the importance of mobile-first design. We chose a minimalist design approach and we decided to make a lite version with core features to test it out with closed audience to get immediate feedback on what we are building
To maximize usability, we meticulously placed essential actions within thumb-reach zones at the same time we focused more on core functionality of the app and way less on visual design. This gives engineers more space to only focus on solving hurdles related to function in our first MVP cut. and this gave me space to think and work on User experience and visual designs based on feedback we got from core features.

Mixed feelings

After testing out the app with bunch of internal users we realised that we are detailing out the app too much to the level that normal crypto users are struggling to use all those features (Basically we over engineered the app) and this is the time we went back to drawing board and analysed where it all went wrong. we started striking out un necessory features and options from the app and made the app even simpler and lite.
This became our beta launch to a bigger set of audience ( it’s still a closed beta tho) we started talking to those people regularly to understand wha they feel and what all things can be still improved. Not kidding but we got some really good feedback this time like “The app is soo clean” “it’s soo simple to use” “i can use this app all day to do my crypto stuff” etc (tho we had some random bugs and issues to fix :p)

The Big Reveal

After 9284785 iterations we decided to launch the app on Play store and App store the response was nothing short of euphoric. Users praised the mobile-friendly design and how easy it was to manage their crypto assets on the go. We celebrated this victory with kheema briyani (and some veg briyanis too. Sorry, pulav 😤) with beer ofc.
