InContro - Android Video Calling App

What is InContro

Incontro is a simple video call/meeting or conference Android application. Had created this app and also helped in creating the brand strategy for a small organization which promotes tele-medicine during COVID.

Story behind the app

During the lockdown because of the ongoing pandemic of COVID 19, person-to-person interaction had almost ceased to exist. Consultations, tutions, and other such activities became a challenge for everyone. All of us were going through a phase which had put a lot of pressure on our mental health. A friend of mine who is a practicing clinical psychologist was helping people cope with these issues. She came to me with a request for a medium to reach out to more people and help the during those troubled times. This lead to the creation of InContro.

P.S. The idea behind the branding and naming of the app is one of my quirky ways of using regular English words in other languages. Like, InContro here translates to "meeting" or "rendezvous" in Italian 🤭.



What InContro App solved

The medium that my friend required was a customized audio/video calling/meeting app, which enable the users to register themselves on the platform and participate in the discussion. The app that I designed and developed gave a smooth experience and fulfilled all the requirements requested by my friend. And since only open source and free resources were used to develop the app, the minimal overhead costs made the app development cost made it pocket friendly.
