A personal cinematic short about Odesa, created from historical photographic references and AI-assisted animation.

The film moves from the city's past, through its living present, into a night of uncertainty — and finally toward sunrise.

I wanted to avoid a conventional city anniversary video. Instead, the film is about memory, continuity and the quiet resilience of a city.

Drawing inspiration from historical photographs of Odesa, I created animated sequences that connect different periods of the city's history with its present. The final thought is simple: “Після кожної ночі завжди настає світанок.” (“After every night, dawn comes.”)
