The Problem Automation tools often intimidate users with heavy coding requirements, unclear process flows, and minimal guidance. The challenge was to design a dashboard that simplifies advanced email filtering including spam detection without sacrificing functionality or user autonomy.

The Solution The design follows Jakob’s Law, which states that users prefer your site to work like others they already know. A prime example is the placement of the terminal interface at the bottom of the screen, a familiar pattern seen in tools like VS Code. By adopting this convention, the dashboard reduces the learning curve, builds user confidence, and fosters a sense of familiarity. Alongside this, the platform uses modular workflow blocks, plain-language step outlines, and real-time validation to ensure both clarity and efficiency.
