In Short
Meridian Studio takes on high-end residential work. Their enquiries didn't reflect that, people arrived expecting a much smaller number than the practice charges.
The old site was built like a standard design website, so it read like one. This rebuild studies how the top architecture studios present work, large imagery, calm layouts, a clear story per page, and applies it here, so the value is felt before the price is ever discussed.
Challenge
The work was never the problem. Enquiries came in, but they came in with the wrong expectation: clients pricing the studio well below what it actually charges. The old site followed the pattern of ordinary design websites small visuals, weak layout, no structure to the story. Projects that deserved to hold a room were buried in it. When a site presents high-end work like standard work, clients price it that way.
Approach · Value felt before price is discussed
I studied how top-tier architecture studios present themselves and rebuilt around what actually creates that impression: scale, calm, and a clear path through every page.
Key decisions
01 · Imagery at full scale — Projects run large and uninterrupted instead of sitting in small cards.
(Visual weight is read as value. Shrink the work and a visitor discounts it before they've formed an opinion of the practice.)
Full-bleed project imagery with real metadata. The level is stated before anything is claimed.
02 · Calm, minimal layout Generous white space, few elements per screen, nothing competing for attention.
(Restraint is the shared language of premium studios — space around the work signals that it doesn't need to shout.)
"Design that begins with a question" — the method, not adjectives.
03 · A clear route through every page — Each page has one destination, and every section moves toward it: home builds belief, work proves it, process removes doubt, contact converts.
(Structure is what separates a portfolio from a pitch a visitor should always know where the page is taking them.)
Work index filtered by residential, interiors and studios — every project carries its recognition.
04 · The process, given its own page
Five stages from Discovery to Construction Documentation, each stating what actually happens.
(A high-value decision stalls on uncertainty, not price — showing the path answers what would otherwise be asked on a call.)

05 · Project pages that end in measurable results — Ridgeline House closes on real outcomes: completed on programme, zero cooling degree days requiring air conditioning, 34% below the NCC Section J benchmark.
(Beauty is subjective; performance isn't. Numbers move a project from "looks nice" to "worth the fee.")
Overview → Challenge → Solution → Result, ending in measurable performance.
Named by role. Depth is the credibility.
Recognition dated and attributed to specific projects.
Result
The site now reads at the level the practice operates at. Large work, calm structure, awards and publications attributed, and projects that end in measurable performance, so a visitor forms the right expectation before the first conversation about money.
