A SaaS company came to us with a visibility crisis. Their competitors were already being recommended by ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity when potential customers asked for product recommendations in their category. Meanwhile, this client was completely absent from AI search results.
On the traditional search side, things weren't much better. They were buried around page 8 on Google for their target keywords. Potential customers simply couldn't find them, whether they were searching on Google or asking AI for recommendations.
Their competitors were capturing demand they didn't even know existed.
The Process
We ran our full AI Search & Entity Optimization framework:
Phase 1: AI Search & Entity Audit
We audited how ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews responded to relevant prompts in the client's product category. We mapped exactly which competitors were being recommended, why they were being cited, and where the gaps were.
Phase 2: Competitive Analysis
We reverse-engineered why competitors were earning AI recommendations. This came down to entity authority, structured data, and how their brand was referenced across trusted sources.
Phase 3: Content & Technical Optimization
We restructured the client's content for AI retrieval, not just traditional SEO. This included Schema.org structured data implementation, internal linking improvements, topical authority building, and brand entity development across high-trust sources.
Phase 4: Continuous Prompt Monitoring
We tracked how AI models responded to relevant queries over time, adjusting our strategy based on real prompt outputs rather than assumptions.
The Results
Within approximately 90 days (April–June 2026):
AI Visibility: Went from zero presence to being recommended by AI search platforms for relevant queries in their product category.
Google Rankings: Moved from page 8 to page 1 for targeted search terms.
Revenue Impact: Generated an extra $22K in revenue from clients coming directly through ChatGPT.
Brand Authority: Established the client as a recognized entity across both traditional and AI-powered search.
The client went from invisible to recommended. The $22K in AI-driven revenue was money that was already flowing to their competitors. We redirected it.
What's Next
This client remains an active engagement. We continue to optimize their AI search visibility and organic growth, expanding into new query categories and maintaining their position as AI search evolves.
Key Takeaway
Most businesses are still optimizing exclusively for Google. But their customers are already asking AI for recommendations. If you're not showing up in those answers, you're leaving revenue on the table every single day.
Client details anonymized at their request.
