Tips for perfecting the interview process!
Struggling to land the perfect job? Interviews can be intimidating, and there's no set formula to get you through them. Below are some tips to help you nail it on the next try.
How To: Talk About Your Strengths
Give your top 3 strengths, and base them on past experience
Instead of saying, "I think...", use evidence! -> "Based on feedback from my manager and coworkers, my strengths are"
How To: Talk About Your Weaknesses
Interviewers ask this to learn about your self awareness
Give them an example of a real weakness + what you are doing to work on that or how you have already improved in it
Can start your answer with, "I'm currently working on..."
Ask questions!
You want to show the employer that you are interested and serious about the role. When they ask, "Do you have any questions for me?", don't be shy!
Don't know what to ask? Try these:
"Can you please share with me your timeline and next steps for this role? I'm curious about your target date for filling this position."
"What does the day to day of this role look like?"
"What does growth look like for this role, and how would you measure success?"
"Are there any hesitations you have about my skills and/or ability to succeed in this position?" -> this gives you the opportunity to counter any of their doubts
