Objective

I was tasked with creating a detailed 3D animation for a large-scale campaign that Oral-B iO was working on in Romania. The animation featured a house being cleaned by an Oral-B toothbrush, with dynamic sparkles and intricate design elements enhancing the visual appeal.
The campaign aimed to celebrate the revitalization of Bucharest’s iconic architectural landmarks while drawing a creative connection to Oral-B iO’s precision and care in oral hygiene. By supporting the restoration of several historic buildings, Oral-B highlighted its commitment to preserving cultural heritage and enhancing community well-being. The initiative sought to inspire pride in the city’s architectural beauty and emphasize the importance of care—whether for smiles or for structures—with the message that meticulous attention can lead to monumental transformations.

Approach

The client envisioned an animation where a house would be cleaned by an Oral-B toothbrush, representing the product’s precision and effectiveness. I took this concept and built a detailed 3D scene using Spline, ensuring every element—from the intricate architecture of the house to the dynamic sparkle effects—was visually captivating.
I also incorporated smooth motion design to highlight the toothbrush’s cleaning action. After designing the assets, I optimized the animation for web performance and integrated it seamlessly into the hero section of their website, creating an immersive and interactive experience that aligned with the campaign's creative direction. This interactive feature enhanced the visual storytelling and encouraged deeper engagement from the audience.

Results

The project was a resounding success, with the 3D animation seamlessly integrated into the campaign's website. The interactive visual elevated the overall user experience and added a creative layer to the campaign’s online messaging. The client was highly satisfied with the final result, praising the animation for its attention to detail and its role in enhancing the campaign’s impact.
In addition to its website presence, a social media video version of the 3D scene garnered over 2.1 million views, further amplifying the campaign's reach and engagement. The animation helped capture the audience’s attention and added a modern, dynamic element to the Oral-B iO x Romanian Design Week collaboration.
