Brand Identity & Product Design - Dumpster Fire Brewing Co.

The Client:

Dumpster Fire Brewing Co., a prominent craft brewery, approached me to design a beer label for their new Mango Milkshake IPA, inspired by the mythical figure of Icarus from Greek mythology. Additionally, they sought a logo with a grunge appeal that would reflect their brand identity.

Objective:

The objective of this case study was to create a visually captivating beer label design that incorporated the essence of Icarus and Greek mythology, while also developing a grunge-inspired logo that captured the unique identity of Dumpster Fire Brewing Co.

Process:

1. Understanding the Vision: We conducted in-depth discussions with Dumpster Fire Brewing Co. to gain a comprehensive understanding of their vision for the Mango Milkshake IPA label and their desired grunge-inspired logo. These consultations allowed us to align our creative direction with their specific requirements and brand identity.
2. Research and Concept Development: To bring the vision to life, we conducted extensive research on Icarus and Greek mythology, exploring various artistic interpretations. From this foundation, I developed a range of design concepts that integrated Icarus, mango motifs, and elements that conveyed the essence of Greek mythology.
3. Beer Label Design: Based on the chosen concept, I designed a visually striking beer label that showcased Icarus in a dynamic and engaging manner. The label incorporated vibrant colors, intricate illustrations, and typography that enhanced the storytelling aspect of the beer's inspiration while capturing the attention of consumers.
4. Logo Creation: For the logo, I embraced the grunge appeal requested by Dumpster Fire Brewing Co.
