ATG Hotels landing page designing is an internship project aimed at creating a refined landing page experience that reflects the brand’s luxury identity while helping users explore collections with clarity and ease.

Project Overview

ATG Hotels landing page designing is an internship assignment focused on creating a premium and modern homepage for a curated luxury hotel platform. The objective was to present ATG’s hotel categories clearly while maintaining a high-end visual identity. The design emphasizes simplicity, strong imagery, and an intuitive layout to enhance user exploration

Role & Responsibility

As the sole designer on this project, I was responsible for the end-to-end design process — from understanding user needs and defining the problem to creating wireframes, building the design system, and developing high-fidelity Landing page.
Explored and defined the target audience to understand user expectations for luxury hotel browsing.
Conducted initial research and created user personas to understand luxury travelers and their expectations.
Designed mood boards to set the visual direction and define the luxury aesthetic for the project.
Developed wireframes and high-fidelity UI screens for a premium and minimal landing page experience.
Selected imagery, colours, and typography to create a cohesive and elegant visual style.
Structured content sections and category cards to ensure clear navigation and an intuitive layout.
Refined overall visual design to match the brand’s curated luxury identity.
Project Duration
The project was completed in 2 focused design sprints across 4 days, progressing from research and mood boards to wireframes and final UI execution.
Problem
Users exploring luxury hotels often struggle to find a platform that clearly categorizes premium stays in a simple, elegant, and intuitive way. Hence needed a landing page that communicates its curated hotel collections while providing a seamless browsing experience.

Design Thinking stages

Empathize

Conducted research to understand how luxury travelers browse hotels and what they expect from a premium landing page experience.

Define

Identified key pain points such as unclear categorization, lack of visual hierarchy, and difficulty exploring curated hotel collections.

Ideate

Brainstormed layout ideas, visual approaches, and content structures to present hotel categories clearly while maintaining a luxury aesthetic.

Prototype

Created wireframes and developed both low-fidelity and high-fidelity mockups to visualize the landing page design direction.

Test

Reviewed the design with peers and mentors to refine visual balance, usability, and overall clarity of the user flow.

User Research

Summary
To better understand user needs and expectations for a luxury hotel discovery experience, I conducted secondary research and created user personas representing different types of travelers. The research revealed that:
Users prefer a clear, visually rich platform to explore hotels without feeling overwhelmed
Travelers value well-defined categories such as luxury, boutique, or heritage collections to simplify decision-making.
High-quality visuals and a premium interface help build trust and reflect the exclusivity of the brand.
-Users expect effortless navigation with minimal steps to browse or compare hotels.
These insights shaped the landing page design to focus on clarity, premium aesthetics, and a smooth exploration flow for discovering curated stays.
Pain Points
Difficulty Exploring Options – Users struggle when hotel categories are unclear or when too many choices appear without structure.
Lack of Visual Appeal – Existing platforms often lack the premium look and feel expected from a luxury travel brand.
Information Overload – Users feel confused when too much text or too many elements appear on the homepage.
Poor Navigation – Inefficient layouts make it hard for users to understand what the brand offers at first glance.
Low Brand Trust – Without a refined, curated interface, users may not perceive the hotels as truly luxury or high-quality.
Paper Wireframes
Initial layouts were explored through paper wireframes. Wireframes — a basic outline of the digital experience — are created to translate abstract ideas into tangible design structures.
From Wireframes to Visual Design
The design process began with paper wireframes to quickly explore layout structure, content hierarchy, and section flow for the landing page. This step helped validate spacing, alignment, and navigation before moving into visual design.
Once the layout was finalized, a color palette was selected to reflect ATG’s luxury identity—using warm neutrals and deep accent tones to convey elegance and trust. Typography was then chosen to balance sophistication and readability, combining refined fonts with clear hierarchy for headings and body content.
This structured approach ensured a smooth transition from concept to a polished, high-fidelity landing page.
Mood Board Exploration
To define the visual direction for the ATG Hotels landing page, I created two mood boards exploring different expressions of luxury while staying aligned with the brand’s premium positioning.
Mood Board 1 – Elegant & Timeless Luxury This mood board focuses on warm gold tones, deep blacks, marble textures, and refined serif typography. The visuals emphasize elegance, exclusivity, and comfort, reflecting a classic luxury hotel experience with a calm and sophisticated atmosphere.
Mood Board 2 – Modern & Experiential Luxury
This direction explores a lighter, more contemporary feel with natural light, modern architecture, clean layouts, and lifestyle-driven imagery. It represents luxury through experience, openness, and modern comfort while maintaining a premium aesthetic.
Elements from both mood boards were carefully refined and combined to create a balanced visual language—blending timeless elegance with modern sophistication for the final landing page design.
Before & After — Design Transformation
The initial version of the ATG Hotels landing page lacked a clear visual hierarchy and did not fully communicate the brand’s premium positioning. The layout felt visually inconsistent, with limited emphasis on curated hotel categories and an overall experience that did not reflect a luxury hospitality platform.
After the redesign, the landing page was transformed into a refined, high-end experience with a strong hero section, well-defined content structure, and a cohesive visual language. Clear categorization, premium imagery, and balanced spacing improved discoverability while reinforcing ATG’s curated luxury identity.
The final design delivers a more confident, elegant, and user-focused experience, aligning the interface with user expectations and the brand’s positioning in the luxury travel space.
Accessibility Considerations
The design ensures sufficient color contrast for readability while maintaining a premium aesthetic. Clear typography, proper spacing, and consistent visual hierarchy support easy scanning and comprehension. Interactive elements are designed to be visually distinct for improved usability.
Outcome & Impact
The redesigned ATG Hotels landing page successfully communicates a premium and curated hospitality experience. The improved visual hierarchy, refined aesthetics, and clear categorization make it easier for users to understand the brand offering at first glance. The final design strengthens brand trust and delivers a polished, luxury-focused first impression suitable for a high-end travel platform.
Key Improvements
Introduced a strong hero section to clearly establish ATG’s luxury identity
Improved content hierarchy for easier exploration of hotel categories
Applied a cohesive color palette and refined typography for a premium look

Learnings
This project strengthened my ability to approach design with a structured UX process, from research and ideation to final execution. I gained hands-on experience translating mood boards, user insights, and brand values into a cohesive luxury UI.
