As an email marketer working on a project for Trust-Based Observations through Beyond Brand Collective, my main objectives were centered around creating and executing a comprehensive 4-week email campaign to promote the client’s upcoming batch of classes. The goal was to re-engage a significant portion of the client's contact list that had become dormant or cold. Additionally, I aimed to boost awareness and engagement with the client's broader content offerings, including their podcasts, books, and blogs. To achieve this, I developed tailored email sequences for each service, ensuring that each aspect of the client’s brand received focused attention, and even integrated surveys using SurveyMonkey to gather valuable feedback from the audience.
One of the major challenges I encountered was the large number of dormant and cold contacts within the client’s email list. These contacts had not engaged with the client’s communications for a considerable time, posing a risk to the effectiveness of the campaign. To address this, I crafted a welcome email specifically designed for these cold contacts, reintroducing them to the brand and gradually guiding them through a personalized journey via subsequent emails. This approach helped to warm up these leads and reestablish a connection between them and the client.
List management and segmentation presented another significant challenge, given the sheer volume of cold and inactive contacts mixed with active ones. To overcome this, I meticulously segmented the email list into four distinct categories: cold leads, dormant leads, hot leads, and active contacts. This segmentation allowed for more precise targeting, ensuring that the right message reached the right audience, whether it was an engaging reintroduction for cold leads or a promotional push for active contacts. Additionally, I encountered technical issues with Mailchimp during the campaign, but by promptly contacting their support team, I was able to resolve the problem quickly and ensure the campaign continued without delay. These efforts collectively contributed to a successful re-engagement and promotional campaign for the client.
