Project Background/Brief:

Problem:

Whenever you visit an e-commerce website to buy anything, from earbuds to a laptop, one of the first things every educated online buyer does is check the reviews. The problem is that most brand websites have full control over which reviews they show you. Usually, they highlight the 5-star reviews and hide the 1-star or negative ones. This creates a biased picture, manipulates the buyer’s decision, and often leads to a bad purchase experience.
After getting scammed or disappointed, people usually go to social media to share their experience. Two things happen here: the brand’s reputation takes a hit, and at the same time, you help your friends avoid making the same mistake, giving you that “social hero” feeling.

Solution:

Now that we understand the core problem, it becomes clear that the most real and authentic product reviews are no longer on brand websites. They are already on social media.
This is where Revsta comes in. Revsta collects these real user reviews from social platforms using data scraping, then runs them through an AI-based sentiment analysis system. Within less than five minutes, the platform gives users a clear, data-driven summary of how a product is actually performing, helping them make smarter purchase decisions. Below is the case study of how I designed the UI for this platform.
