ABOUT:
Passero is Italian for sparrow, the most ubiquitous bird in the world, found in every continent except for Antarctica. It represents our mission to get more people to expand their network beyond borders. We believe that humans reach their full potential and achieve inner & external awareness by taking journeys to the unknown. Travelling is no longer just a holiday but an essential part of discovering ourselves and feeling connected.
MISSION:
Inspire people to travel further, explore the unknown, and grow from experience with friends old and new.
BRIEF:
We are looking for a visual designer to create a visually captivating and immersive retro-themed itinerary website that captures the spirit of the past while delivering modern functionality. It's important to maintain a balance between retro aesthetics and a user-friendly experience. Passero is rebranding at the moment, However, we want to retain some graphic elements from the past. We want new visual language that can reflect our brand values. The same visual language will be applied to our Itinerary product.
VISUAL DIRECTION:
1. Nostalgic Aesthetics:
We created a nostalgic atmosphere inspired by mid-20th-century design elements. Blended vintage travel aesthetics with modern web design principles for a unique user experience. A typical example of the look and feel we wanted was Panam.
2. Color Palette:
We chose saturated blue and peach as the primary colours, and muted pastels, as accent colours. Use an off-white or cream background to mimic aged paper.
3. Imagery:
Incorporated cutout images with irregular shapes, reminiscent of vintage scrapbooks. Use halftone textures to create an authentic aged look, also in background elements.
4. Cloud Symbolism:
Incorporate clouds to symbolize dreamy nostalgia, adventure, freedom, and imagination.
By combining these elements, we created a captivating and immersive website that captures the charm of the past while providing a user-friendly experience for modern audiences.
