Task: Design a smart camera app that helps you pose and click great photos.

Overview: People often struggle to click great photos of themselves or of others. A good background, pose and lighting makes all the difference. But not everyone understands how to create a good composition.







Understanding the problem statement

1. Is there really a need for this app?
2. What actually makes a great photo? A great camera?
3. Who will be using this app?
4. Can we take advantage of any existing technology out there?

6. Can this app be used to help photo enthusiasts learn photography?





Secondary Research

1. 92.5% of all photos in the world are taken with a smartphone
2. Photo Industry is growing at a rapid rate
3. 18-to-24-year-olds reported that every third photo they take is a selfie. Don't underestimate Selfies
4. USA seems like a good market for this app based on number of photos takes per day
5. Women took selfies 8.6 times more often than men and were photographed 3.5 times more often than men.





Solution: Designed a smart app with functionalities like posing guides, photo spots, AI Composition Assistance, Photo Tips, AI Photo editing and more to help click better pictures.
