What if AI could produce ads that look like they came straight off TV? I decided to find out.
I started with a question: AI can generate beautiful images, but can it create a high-end commercial?
To test it, I worked on a project for an instagram ad agency called weareglorie.com that usually produces Instagram Ads in the traditional way.
Instead of a film set, I built a workflow that merges best of both worlds:
Next-gen AI tools (NanoBanana, Seed, Topaz, Enchancor, Veo, Kling) to generate hyper-realistic people and cinematic scenes. The focus was on details that normally break the illusion: skin texture, natural facial expressions, realistic lighting, and motion consistency.
Pro-creative tools (After Effects, Figma, Photoshop) to refine, composite, and integrate branding, so the spot felt like it belonged in a professional campaign.
The post-production process made all the difference:
color grading, micro-adjustments to timing and movement, subtle texture enhancements, and design overlays turned the AI output into something really polished.
The result? An Instagram ad created entirely with AI, but indistinguishable from a high-budget TV commercial.
This isn’t about replacing production teams, it’s about showing what’s possible when AI and human creativity work together.
