Project Title: Jamie’s Notebook – Portfolio Website for a Professional Writer

Jamie’s Notebook is the personal brand of Jamie Smith, a seasoned writer, consultant, and speaker with roots in journalism. I had the opportunity to design and develop her official website — an informative platform that presents her portfolio, outlines her services and rates, and makes it easy for potential clients to get in touch. The website serves as a digital hub to highlight her services and connect with potential clients.

To build a modern, professional website that clearly communicates Jamie’s writing expertise, showcases her previous work, and provides all the necessary information for potential clients to confidently reach out and hire her. Our key focus was to create a layout that reflects her credibility while remaining user-friendly and mobile-responsive.

These were the significant challenges faced during the development of the website:

Structuring the content to highlight Jamie’s various services (writing, consulting, training, speaking) without overwhelming the visitor.

Implementing a contact form that effectively reduces spam queries, which were a problem during initial testing.

Ensuring that testimonials, rates, and services were displayed clearly and professionally to inspire trust.

Launched a streamlined, responsive website that effectively represents Jamie’s brand and professional journey. The layout makes it easy for visitors to understand her offerings, read client testimonials, and inquire through a secure contact form integrated with Google CAPTCHA to reduce spam. The site functions as both a portfolio and a conversion tool, enhancing Jamie’s online presence and making her services more accessible to potential clients.
