The Project
I worked with a small team of writers and Development leaders at Cincinnati Children's to strategize content and write a formal proposal to the Convalescent Hospital Foundation. The ask outlined in the proposal was for a transformational gift to build the new College Hill mental health facility and address the growing need for psychiatric services for kids and teens.
The Impact
This proposal directly contributed to a $36 million donation to help build Cincinnati Children's new College Hill mental health campus. At the time, it was the largest gift in Cincinnati Children's history, as outlined in this article by the Cincinnati Enquirer.
There is a nationwide shortage of mental healthcare providers, which means that most children and adolescents with depression do not receive the treatment they so urgently need.
