Technology in education refers to the study of study methods by designing, developing, analyzing, and evaluating education processes in order to expand teaching and learning. It involves machines like computers, desktops, and laptops among others.
Today technology has impacted every aspect of life including, education. It has impacts and effects on the way things are presented and taught in the classroom for the students to understand. Furthermore, it has largely impacted the materials required, and the method used to teach students in the classroom. In many schools, students are given computing devices and also allowed to bring their own devices from home in order to enable learning at the time and location of a student. Education software and applications are growing more in technology to determine students’ learning process, what a student knows, and also monitor the emotional state of a learner.

Instructors can lecture the learners from a distance and also communicate easily outside the classroom. This improves their ability to give directions, expand the learning of scholars, and help them get improved academic scores.

Students can access information on the internet quickly and in the fastest way possible. Instead of going to the library and searching through piles of books to do an assignment, one can access valid information anytime anywhere from a vast number of sources like websites, YouTube, etc.

Students can access a huge variety of learning materials on the internet e.g., scientific research, essays, educational videos, etc. learners can write academic papers better by accessing the available information on the internet.

The use of technology in education helps learners to gain new skills and develop their knowledge. This can help learners use their extra knowledge in preparation for academic activities.
Disadvantages of Technology in Business
1. Fast and less memorable learning
Internet Devices and education apps are able to process faster compared to the corresponding understanding speed of human cognizance. This affects most students in terms of understanding the concept broadly.
2. Less direct social interaction
Learners don’t need to orally communicate and relate with their teachers and one another when there is the use of technology. Online teaching and learning eliminate face-to-face interaction.
3. Integrating technology leads to time-consuming
Lesson planning and organization using digital technology is better than traditional methods because it can be challenging and time-consuming.
In conclusion, technology is all around us, and in order for students to survive in their education journey and business role, they must be aware of emerging software technology and trends.
