Your website as an app on the phone (demo)

Task. A small business already has a website, and its regulars ask for an app. Apple rejects apps that are only a website in a wrapper, so the app has to give people more than the browser does.

Solution. The site runs inside an Expo app for iOS and Android, with a native bottom menu built from the site's sections; the site's own header and footer are hidden. With no connection, the app shows a clear screen with Call and Email buttons that work offline, instead of a browser error. Phone, maps and messenger links open in the phone's own apps, and the colours follow the site. Push notifications can be added for offers or bookings.

Delivered. A demo on a fictional bakery that you can open in the browser: home, menu and visit pages, the offline screen, light and dark theme. For a real business the first step takes 1 to 2 days: a check of the site and a test build to install on the owner's own phone.

Concept work for a fictional bakery. The App Store and Google Play accounts stay with the business, and the apps are published there.
