Our “Alex” isn’t just one person — he’s every busy creative who’s drowning in good intentions and bad organization. His problem isn’t the lack of tools; it’s that his tools don’t give him clarity.

We gave each idea a score based on how important it was, how urgent it felt, and how confident we were that AI could pull it off. That math gave us a “Priority” number — the higher the score, the sooner it made the cut.

How Trello AI Calculates Priority Scores
Our prioritization model blends three key factors into a single score:
Importance – Derived from labels, due dates, and custom priority tags.
Urgency – Based on approaching deadlines and task dependencies.
This ensures that tasks with high strategic value, time sensitivity, and strong prediction reliability rise to the top, while lower-impact or uncertain tasks are deprioritized.
The Shift – From Chaos to Clarity
In 10 seconds, Alex’s Monday stopped being a sorting session and started being actual work time. The board works for him now, not the other way around.

What’s Next – Opportunity Gaps
This project taught me one thing: AI is only as good as the trust it builds. We kept users in the loop and let them make the final call. Still, there’s room to grow:
