Education Mentor App

I designed The DesignCoach Lab mobile app, a tutoring platform focused on enhancing Graphic Design skills and portfolio development. The app features course enrollment, class schedules, curriculum details, tutor profiles, student reviews, and an outline of the 8-week tutoring program.

My role centered on UX/UI design—crafting an intuitive, responsive interface that emphasizes accessibility and a clear user journey. From enrollment to exploring reviews, users can easily navigate every step. The app applies modern design systems and frameworks to ensure a seamless, engaging experience on both iOS and Android.

Challenges Competing with the endless scroll of YouTube tutorials isn’t easy—especially when users can bail at the first confusing screen. The DesignCoach Lab hit three big hurdles:

Keeping overwhelm in check: A lot of coaching apps feel like homework disguised as onboarding. We wanted the opposite.

Creating real connection: Learners tune out fast when the experience feels flat or progress isn’t obvious. No spark = no engagement.

Mapping the learning journey: Users struggled to grasp what the 8-week program actually looked like—course outline, reviews, coach intro video, the whole deal.

The mission became clear: reimagine the journey so it not only makes sense… but actually motivates. Turning information into inspiration and structure into something that genuinely pulls users forward.
