The Switch mobile app is a companion app for solar energy users. The 2 major objectives of the app are to provide energy consumers with the ability to monitor their energy usage and to purchase additional energy units with fiat or cryptocurrency.

I started by analysing various other energy platforms and their design methods before setting out app objectives and expected user flow to the UI design team.

I managed the company’s expectations and the UI design team until the completion of the design of the app.

At the end of the UI design, potential users could do the following from the app:

Connect the mobile app to their smart meter using a unique code.

Monitor their energy usage.

Buy energy units with fiat or crypto.

View their transaction history.
