Designs for Clients

Novuyo Shumba

Here are some designs I made for some clients I have worked with. There will also be a brief description of the purpose of the digital work and where I gained inspiration.

Pure Perfection

Dated November 2023 -Feb 2024

Pure Perfection Branding Pure Perfection is a new cleaning service specialising in Airbnb properties across London and Luton. I was commissioned to design their logo, to create a professional and trustworthy brand identity.
Through the process, I explored several directions and found that a simple, clean design best reflected the company’s values of reliability, clarity, and professionalism. The final logo delivers a modern, polished look that positions Pure Perfection as a credible and customer-focused service.
This project reinforced the importance of aligning visual identity with brand values and showed me how simplicity can often communicate professionalism most effectively.

MDX Student Media

October 2020 - October 2021

For Black History Month, I designed the cover artwork for MDX Student Media’s Spotify playlist. The aim was to celebrate the beauty, diversity, and cultural impact of music created by Black artists.
I approached the design by focusing on vibrant, dimensional visuals that reflect both the richness of Black musical heritage and its influence across genres. The final artwork captures a sense of energy and pride, helping the playlist stand out while honouring its cultural significance.
This project highlighted the importance of designing with cultural awareness and sensitivity, ensuring the visual identity aligned with the spirit of celebration and representation.

Custom MacBook Background

My client requested a design with a retro essence that captured her favourite life moments. She specifically wanted the colour pink to feature prominently, while also incorporating personal details such as her excitement about learning to drive and her favourite Bible verse.
To reflect these elements, I created a composition with a retro-punk chrome aesthetic, blending playful visuals with personal symbolism. The ID card in the top left is a reinterpretation of Tyler, the Creator’s “Call Me If You Get Lost”artwork, representing her goal of obtaining her driver’s licence and reinforcing the nostalgic theme.
This project was an opportunity to translate personal stories into design, balancing individuality with cohesive visual style.

CAMHS Job Fare Poster

June 2023

CAMHS – Recruitment Poster Design
The aim of this project was to showcase the different departments CAMHS were hiring for, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers. My goal was to create a design that communicated both professionalism and approachability.
I used primary colours to emphasise the organisation’s focus on children and to create a visual identity that felt fun, light, and optimistic. This choice reflected the positive impact CAMHS professionals aim to have on their clients, both current and future.
Working under a tight deadline, I was able to quickly familiarise myself with CAMHS’ services and values, ensuring the final design not only met the brief but also aligned with the organisation’s mission.
This project reinforced the value of adapting quickly under time pressure while still producing creative work that resonates with both the client and their audience.
