Internship project focusing on gamifying the Doggo app to raise engagement and educate current and future users on how to take care of their pets' health and well-being. Designed for those who are new pet parents and for those who have a football team of dogs :)

Project Goal: To gamify the Doggo app and increase session time among current and potential users, while enhancing engagement and community features.

The Challenge: The project was fully remote, which led to occasional miscommunication and coordination difficulties within the team.

Approach & Solution: To address these challenges, we implemented to address these challenges, we implemented several UX strategies to boost engagement and usability: Introduced an app mascot to create a friendly, engaging persona for users. Designed a guided onboarding system to help new users quickly ided onboarding system to help new users understand app features. Added a progress tracker and points/trophy system to reward users for accessing key features and encourage repeat use. Integrated a social feed inspired by Instagram, allowing dog owners to post, share, and foster community connections.

The Impact: Session time increased by 45% due to the mascot-led onboarding system, app downloads doubled with many new dogs onboarding system, app downloads doubled with many new dogs owners joining, and the social feed helped users build a community owners joining, and the social feed helped users build community connections and stay engaged.
