Pet in Pack is an e-commerce website that specializes in pet products and accessories. As a UI designer, my objective was to enhance the user interface of their product pages to improve the shopping experience for pet owners and increase conversions.
Problem/Opportunity 1:
Poor Product Presentation: The existing product page layout did not effectively showcase the products, making it difficult for users to assess the item's quality, features, and benefits
Solution:
To enhance product presentation, I proposed the following design improvements:
Large High-Quality Images: Display high-resolution images that users can zoom in on for a detailed view of the product.
Multiple Views: Allow users to switch between different product views, such as front, back, and side, to get a comprehensive understanding of the product.
Problem/Opportunity 2:
Complex Navigation: The navigation on the product page was cluttered, and important information was scattered throughout the page, making it challenging for users to find essential details
Solution:
To simplify navigation and improve information accessibility:
Tabbed Sections: Organize information into tabs (e.g., Description, Specifications, Reviews) to reduce clutter and allow users to choose the section they want to explore.
Sticky Product Details: Make product details (price, availability, and an “Add to cart” button) sticky at the top of the page, so they are always visible as users scroll down.
