Golfers often find the process of capturing their swings using 2D video and 3D imaging to be tedious and time-consuming. This discourages the majority of golfers from recording their swings for analysis, with 90% opting not to take videos at all. During interviews, a recurring issue has been identified: the validation process for swing analysis is cumbersome and needs to be streamlined. The challenge is to develop a solution that allows golfers to practice and validate their swings using 3D technology as effortlessly as they would with a launch monitor. How can we make 3D swing capture and analysis more user-friendly and integrated into regular practice sessions?

Our solution focused on emulating the effortless and automatic data capture experience found in existing technologies, particularly in launch monitors. By utilizing a single screen to display essential data tiles, we aim to create a user interface that is familiar and intuitive for golfers. Given the widespread knowledge and ease of use associated with launch monitors, we have chosen this interface as our model. Additionally, our upcoming integration with Foresight, a popular launch monitor, will further streamline the user experience by incorporating it into the same UX flow, making 3D swing analysis as seamless as using a launch monitor.

The primary goal was to help solo golfers become deeply engaged by creating sessions with multiple swings working on a specific set of data tiles to help them overcome issues in their swing without having to walk to their phone after every video. To measure this, our key metrics to track were '# of swing monitor sessions/user' and retention for week 2
