Ideri is an open-source album cover tool, where users can view, download, and share their favorite album covers. As an avid music consumer, I tend to notice albums and single-cover art. I appreciate the art that goes into making one. The art of transmitting the theme of an album or single to the covers is so interesting.
How does it work?
For now, I decided to keep things simple, as we only have a small team. Users will be able to search for album covers and also view them by album cover type (i.e., illustrative, typography, photography, etc..) and color of the album cover. See it in action here 👇🏽

On the album cover details screen, users can click on the Spotify link to be directed to the album or single Spotify section and can listen to the music. You can also download the album cover color palette and use it in your projects.
You can also upload your favorite album covers to the platform, to continue growing our vast collection of album covers. See the process here 👇🏽

Before we get to that, you must have been wondering what Ideri means, it means cover in Yoruba, a language in western Nigeria.

Next Steps
We are currently working on a live version of Ideri, that our users can start using. From this, we can study users' behavior and know which new features to add. However, there are questions still left unanswered, such as will it be a paid product, how we make money from it, and which features to add. Which we are looking to answer in the future.
