Developing an Elegant Spiritual E-commerce Site

This project began with a fascinating challenge. Mr. Scott, had used an AI tool to generate a beautiful, static design for Bhagavatpurana.org, a website dedicated to promoting and selling a 15-volume set of sacred texts. The vision was there, but the technical path to turn that static image into a living, breathing WordPress website was unclear.

That's where I came in. My role was to act as the between the AI-generated concept and a fully functional, elegant and mobile-responsive reality.

It was a hands-on process. I meticulously took the designs from Figma and other sources and manually reconstructed them within the Divi builder. I didn't just copy the layout; I worked to capture the feel the client was going for. To make the site feel truly special and attractive, I went beyond Divi's built-in options. I wrote custom JavaScript to create a serene "showering flowers" animation on the homepage and used custom CSS to implement unique background gradients and design touches that gave the site its unique character.

A major part of this project was setting up the e-commerce functionality. I installed and configured WooCommerce from scratch, building out the complete shopping experience: the shop, product pages, cart, and checkout. I made sure the entire process was seamless for future customers.

What makes this project so rewarding is the collaborative relationship we've built. It's not just about code; it's about a shared mission. We had open conversations about the best path forward, and I provided expert advice on everything from SEO plugins to the best way to structure the pages for easy maintenance.

The work continues today. The site is live, but our partnership is ongoing. We're constantly working together to polish the design, enhance the user experience, and make the site an even more beautiful and effective platform for its important message. This project is a perfect example of how technical skill and a deep understanding of a vision can come together to create something truly special.
