Smiths Group is a global technology company that operates in five main segments, including mechanical seals, security and detection technologies, electronic and radio frequency components, components for fluid and gas transfer, and medical devices. The Smiths security technology is present in basically all detection equipment at concerts and airports in the UK and Europe.

Working on this pitch design was challenging and exiting because as the company operates in many diverse segments and provide services to a wide range of industries, I needed to find a balanced way to make this also clear to their users while navigating though the homepage.

On this creative journey and even before I start generating ideas, I dove into the research phase in order to understand better the business objectives of Smiths and their audience. That step fuelled my creative process on the next design phases.

My foremost objective was to seamlessly communicate the breadth of Smiths' operations across various dynamic segments from the home page, as on the current design this is not clear from the user perspective.

Think of it as a blend of cool tech vibes, futuristic inspiration, glassmorphism and the captivating wonders of aerospace – all intricately woven into a tapestry of creativity. This mood board wasn't just a collage; it was my compass, guiding me through the design maze as I craft up a concept that perfectly vibes with Smiths' cool mix of aerospace, defense, healthcare and technology

The strategic orchestration of call-to-action elements and interactive facets offers an immersive encounter, inviting users to explore and engage, mirroring the world of advanced technology, data streaming and aerospace.

Rooted in the ethos of cutting-edge technology and the awe-inspiring realm of aerospace, my design artfully harmonizes a monochromatic canvas infused with subtle touches of glassmorphism and mesh gradients, evoking a sense of tech-driven futurism. The deliberate delicacy in the thinning lines, reminiscent of both intricate data transfer and the celestial streaks of shooting stars, imparts a captivating dynamism to the visual narrative.

The meticulous curation of website components adheres to a minimalist paradigm, nurturing an environment of cognitive ease while retaining the gravitas of technological innovation.

With a conscious commitment to clarity and user-centric approach, my concept underscores the quintessence of technology, precisely aligning with Smiths' multifaceted domain. This holistic approach, combining visual elegance with functional simplicity, speaks to the core of Smiths brand, resonating deeply with its commitment to pushing the boundaries of possibility across diverse sectors.

As I reflect on this project, I'm genuinely thrilled with the experience and the chance it gave me to truly flex my creative muscles while working for such a cool project and company.

Crafting a concept that captures the essence of Smiths' diverse segments, from the soaring aspirations of aerospace to the cutting-edge world of healthcare, has been an incredibly rewarding journey.

And to top it all off, our pitch nailed it, securing a project estimate of £115,000.00 for Investis Digital, the agency I was working. This project has not only been professionally fulfilling but also a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation and creativity.
