Description of the Project

The task from Brand Brief was to create the branding for the upcoming album launch of Lydia Ford. This was my proposal, I did not win at the end but I think is always valuable to participate because it fosters creativity while learning lots of new things by researching and knowing great artists like Lydia Ford. When I heard the song Catholic Guilt, knowing it was the perfect starting point for my creative process.
Drawing inspiration from the song's lyrics, I developed the concept of an imaginary music festival set in an amusement park. Catholic Guilt is a song that explores the theme of love, so I decided to incorporate the metaphor of cotton candy – a sweet and tempting treat shared by the hands of two people in a moment of intimacy and connection.
To bring this concept to life, I designed a brand logo for Lydia Ford and a series of graphics for merchandise such as t-shirts, tote bags, posters, catalogs, and flyers. Passion Projects are a great way to channel creativity and imagination.
I believe it to be fundamental to do them from time to time.
