We began by immersing ourselves in curaJoy’s vision—creating a tool that strengthens family bonds, promotes personal growth, and bridges gaps in mental health infrastructure. One challenge we faced was balancing accessibility for all family members, regardless of age or tech-savviness, while ensuring the app felt engaging and purposeful. To tackle this, we adopted a best-in-class UI/UX approach, prioritizing a clean, empathetic design language with vibrant, welcoming visuals to reflect the hope and positivity curaJoy champions. We incorporated micro-interactions and gamified elements to make the experience feel rewarding for kids, while offering parents streamlined navigation and actionable insights into their family’s emotional well-being.
