"For the sake of a stunning picture we launch a chair direction space!?"

This is crazy! Can we do that? Is that a sensible idea? Those were thoughts we were thinking during that editors board meeting of ProSiebens show "Galileo" - the best-known knowledge magazine in Germany.

I was a comissioned producer for this magazine since a couple of years and made hundreds of shows during that time. Sometimes blowing up vaults or letting hosts fly with party ballons.

But this was special.

When we decided to do it against all odds, we had to find a lot of very special people to pull this off.

The german military was happy for a free PR Stunt like this and so we could use one of their spy ballons to get the chair up.

The chair was a special design - looking like a real chair but weighing only 80 Grams - less than a bar of chocolate.

Also, we needed a rig for two cameras that would withstand vacuum and deep below zero temperatures without failing.

And a security specialist who could track a GPS signal so we would find the rig later.

As a creative producer you don´t just come up with ideas - the real art of producing is to find ways how to realize them.
