Citardière: Branding (2w-Sprint)

The Citardière French vineyard located in the heart of the Loire Valley (Saumur) and owned by Carlowrie Castle, Edinburgh. Tucked away down a cypress tree-lined drive, the vineyard has picture-perfect views, flavour-packed wines and a rich history dating back to the 15th century.

Characteristics & Deliverables - Project: 2week-Sprint - Primary logotype, secondary & variables > signature, icon(s), favicon, signages - Colour scheme > Black & brass foil, letterpress - Typography suite > 1: Custom 2: EB Garamond - Design development > outdoor brass signages, packaging/labels * Note: Wine packaging/labels have heavy restrictions and strict guidelines, especially in France. Each logotype has its appointed size, fonts and line-height must follow a particular ratio and be fully legible. Still, it was an exciting exercise.

Branding: Approach & Strategy The Design Strategy for Citardière reflects the vineyard's rich heritage and picturesque location in the Loire Valley, combining tradition with modern elegance through its visual identity.

The colour scheme, complemented by letterpress techniques, conveys a sense of luxury and timelessness. Combining a custom manuscript font and the emblematic Garamond enhances readability and sophistication.

This careful balance brings Citardière's unique story to life — yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
